Are you ready for Night School?
Classes begin Tuesday, February 2, for AISC’s new Night School course “Steel Design 2: Selected Topics.” This course will address topics in steel design from Chapters E, F, and H of the AISC Specification for Structural Steel Buildings. Provisions for the design of a variety of cross-sections in flexure, compression, shear, torsion and combined loading will be covered.
The course consists of eight, 90-minute webinar sessions, which all take place on Tuesday evenings beginning at 7 p.m. ET. Topics include:
Beams
- Single Angle Flexural Members
- Beams with Torsion
- Built-up Flexural Members
- Plate Girders
Columns
- Symmetric, Singly Symmetric and Unsymmetric Members
- Latticed, Battened and Box Columns
- Bracketed, Stepped and Tapered Compression Members
- Column Base Plates
Attendees can either register for the entire eight-session package (one attendee per connection) and earn up to 1.2 CEUs/12 PDHs upon passing a series of quizzes and a final exam, or they can register for individual webinars, with an unlimited number of attendees per connection, and receive 0.15 CEUs/1.5 PDHs per session.
