Watershed Building

The Seattle office building has a steel gutter system that directs toxic stormwater runoff away from the adjacent highway and through a downward-sloping filtration system that cleans up to 400,000 gallons of polluted water annually. Its overhanging roof also contributes to the building's sustainability -- it harvests rainwater and directs it toward a 20,000-gallon cistern for non-potable uses in and around the building.
